Probably...just tired

Just a "funny" thing I was thinkin' of today... Is it just me, or am I imagine this, or is it like this? When relationships between a black woman and a white man is mentioned, in any way, it's more often that it's expressed this way: "A white man who prefer black woman" (just an example). And not "a black woman who dated white men (just an example). You see, it's most of the time a white man who like/date/etc/ a black women and not the opposite?! Why this? Something to do with genus? Culture thing? History? Or do the man see himself first? And this has probably nothing to do with bw/wm, this is probably something deeper... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaw... you see, I'm probably just tired and should probably go get some sleep... LOL... forget all this... hehe!

Not a "phase". At all.

Got this e-mail the other day:

"sorry to say but i think you are only going through a phase. to have a blk wife and children takes courage. hell, to have a blk gf in america takes courage. no offense, but the average white man isn't giving up his whiteness and its privileges for a blk woman...no matter how beautiful the woman is."

Don't really get this. What kind of "phase"? This is not a phase at all, and second, if it would be a phase, how come this so called "phase" has been a "phase" that has been running of 15 years in time. I think that is a bit too long to be labeled as a "phase". And why wouldnt I have the courage you are taking about? To me, there is no way I can see myself getting married to anyone else but a black woman. Thats just how I am. Fact. And giving up my "whiteness and it's privileges"? What is all that about? I know some of you will say, yeah there are privileges being white in the world's society. But What is that. Am I supposed to live my life after what the society want me to be?! NO WAY.

Summer, reggae & coffee! And beauty!

Summer is just around the corner. And guess where I'll be hanging around? "Reggae fiket" - The Reggae Coffee Shop - a small outside-based coffee place just by the water of Ã…rstaviken, Stockholm. A lovely place to just chill at, and they play the best roots-reggae on top volume! And a lot of beautiful black girls usually work at the coffee shop! So if you ever go to Sweden during summer time, take a visit there. For sure!

Don't wanna make you depressed.

Don't wanna make no one depressed by my blog.

"I was reading a blog by a Swedish guy named Andreas Johannes. He happens to like sistas. At first I thought he was being cynical and superficial. But then I just realized that he's just a down-to-earth guy who has a genuine love and interest for black women. That's so rare here, or anywhere, that I was overwhelmed. I should've been happy. Instead I became depressed.

I suppose after seeing me and other friends be nothing but conquests for any male, the sincerity was too much to handle. It just isn't the same in America. Here we're..."

Shades of Black

I guess most of you know about the One drop rule in The States. That consider any person with any trace of African ancestry as black. I think it's in some way a dilemma. Why label people too much, with rules? Do we even need rules to tell if someone is black, white, asian etc? Arent we all humans? In this way I think this rule is crazy. But in other hand... I think you all should be proud of the african origin & roots. And you know: Black is Beautiful, so if they wanna label you black, be proud! :) (Do I sound like a so-called "wigga" now??? LOL) But I mean, there are so many shades of black, and all are beautiful in there own way. Light skin, brown skin, dark skin - black is beautiful!

African headwrap

Today I've learnt something - the african headwrap, that is common in countries like Nigeria, is called gele. And if you read my blog earlier you know I love this beautiful traditional vibeful roots style! :) And here's a clip how to tie your gele! I know, Im not goin to try myself, but I love looking at this clip! lol

"African Queen"

AFRICAN QUEEN

yeah, yeah, you are my african queen, oooh lord, oooh lord

just like the sun, lights up the earth, you light up my life
the only one, I've ever seen with a smile so bright
and just yesterday, you came around my way
and changed my whole scenery with your astonishing beauty

ah, you coulda make a brother sing,
you ordinary thing, a supernatural being,

I know you are just brighter than the moon
Brighter than the star, I love you just the way you are.

and you are my African Queen, the girl of my dreams.
you take me where I've never been
you make my heart go ting-a-ling-a-ling, oh ahh
you are my African Queen, the girl of my dreams
and you remind me of a thing
and that is the African beauty yahhh

yahh oooo you are my african queen, oh lord, oo lord hmm
out of a million you stand as one
the outstanding one
I look into your eyes, girl what I see is paradise,

yeah you captivated my soul, now everyday I want you more o o oo
How can I deny this feeling I'm feeling inside
ey oh no one can never take your place,
can never take your space,
thats a fact I cannot erase

and you, you are the one that makes me smile
make me float like a boat upon the nile.

oooo ooooo yaahhh yahhh oooo

you are my african queen and I know, oh yes I know hhn
you are my african queen and I know, see I know
See I know what I am feeling in my heart and in my soul
oh I know that it is love
And I know that this love was surely sent from up above
Cause you're the only one I think of

you are my african queen
and I know that this means that you're the only one that I will serve
I'll give you my heart, my love, my body and my money
Every other thing you think of
Who could think of anything better than you
Who could think of ever hurting you

Sacrifice my all, I'll give it all to you
cause you ar my african queen
for REAL

So black, so beautiful
I love you, I love you, I love you, munyemo, I love you, I love you, I love
you, munyemo, I love you, I love you, ooohhh yeah, my African Queen, I
love you, I love you.

Paris the place to be!?!

The city in Europe with the most beautiful black women has got to be Paris, France. I was there last summer and WHOA! I've never ever seen so many beautiful black women ever at the same time (in Europe). I was like a little kid in a candy store! LOL I could meet this beautiful black woman and think for a few seconds "She was so beautiful" and then a few feets awaya there somes another beautiful black queen! Imagine that! :)

Now I know this fact - I have never (!) been to London yet. And I've heard that that city is really great too! But I mean, Paris, the city of Love, in the middle of the summer... Can any city in Europe beat that?! :)

Photo: Just a pic I took at the sidewalk of the river in Paris! :)

Do you...?!

This is just a day of being curious! :)

Eyes wide shut

Today I've learned the hard and awful truth. I didnt know the world was this cruel. Or maybe I did know it and had my eyes shut. Any how, I know this all happend in October last year, but I still want to give a thought to the late Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak and Jan Pawel Pietrzak who got brutally murdered short after their wedding (hate crime?!). Why is there so little understanding and so much of hate in this world? May they Rest In Peace!

It isn't so bad.

Maybe it isn't that bad. This morning, on my way to work, I did a little self-experiment. How many beautiful black women are there out there an ordinary Monday morning. And when I opened my eyes clearly I was astonished by the beauty that really exist in up-north of Europe! :) Of the 7 black women I meet on my way to work - 7 were like true beauties! That makes it 100%! I'm not sure if this says more about my taste or the lack of black women in Sweden (comparing to UK and US). But anyhow, I just wanna give an extra shout-out to the strong black women of Sweden. You are somewhere out there and shining! :)

Reminisce/Michelle Williams

I was just reading this article about Beyonce. And I was reminiscing the old days. And I allways thought Michelle Willams were the most beautiful of the Destiny's Child. And I still think the same! :)

Must be fiction?!

Can it really be like that?
I just saw the movie Lakeview Terrace - for you who havent seen it - it's a bout an interracial couple moving in next door to this LAPD cop.
But I mean this must be fiction - it can't really be like this in the reality? Or can it? I'm not living in the States, but it can't be this full of prejudices.
