Gimmie the Good Vibe

I was born in the wrong country. I'm pretty sure something got wrong when I was born. Why should I be here in Sweden. I can feel I dont belong here. For real.

Many reasons why.

Just got home from The Caribbean and Down South (The U.S.). And what did I get back home to - darkness, coldness, snow, cold rain, no leafs on threes, people that are so "inwards", no sunshine, no good vibe, just a empty feeling. And no, this is not a "holiday buzz". This is reality in northern part of Europe.

And I got back to a country with a very few black women. That sucks. Just skinny white chicks (LOL). I need a escape from here. For good. I feel deep deep inside - this aint the place from me. And I guess some of you will say: But Sweden is the no.1 country in questions of health care, education etc etc. I dont really care that much about that. To me, life is more than that. Aaaah, I can hear how stupid I sound now. But there are "backsides" of this life too. Trust me.

Anyhow, this one goes out to all of you who live far far from Sweden. I'm jealous of you guys. :)

I need the Good Vibe.

Crazy

"Keith Bardwell, of Tangipahoa Parish in Louisiana, denied racism but said mixed-race children were not readily accepted by their parents' communities."

What's up with that???

He "did not believe in 'mixing the races'."

Crazy. One word from me.

The Black Woman in European Media

Got this interesting question the other day:

Are black women in Sweden or Europe in general portrayed better in the media than in the States (i.e. Hollywood, rap videos, etc.)? How so?

In some ways I would say yes, and in some way no.
First of all, Europe and specially Sweden are very inspired by The States in so many ways. From culture, music, movies, tv, food etc. And american TV series and movies are very common here, so in that way I would say it is the same as in U.S. And when it comes to music -  american hip-hop and r&b are very popular here too. In those ways I guess it's the same way as in the States. But in some ways we are looking at thos culture aspects in a not allways "dead-serious" way. So if the black woman are portrayed in one special "american" way, whe can see through it. But in many ways, the black woman often appear in media as a "victim" - like the vulnerable and exposed african woman.

But in many ways, the black woman are also shown in a way more positive way - though creativity for example. So it is no easy question to answer.

My fellow Europeans - fill me in! :)

How to be screwed: 3 easy steps to get filled with hate

How to be Screwed aka Truth B. Told:

Step 1: First you gotta collect a whole lote of hate. Hate towards everyone and everything. Not necessary anything special, as long as you feel a deep hate towards it. But it can help alot if the hate is focused towards the opposite to yourself.

Step 2: Make the women feel like they are insecure and don't respect them at all. And be sure to label that "opposite person" as the main source of evil of everything.

Step 3: Don't ever look at the reality. Don't use any truth what so ever. Live in the past and dont accept no independence or positivity. One good advice: Be a real hater and spread hate about people who are doing something good.

Overall advice: You got to have a lot of unused spare time in your life to be able to bring up all the hate. No time for anything else - focus!

"Yes, if you are..."

Read this chat conversation with Ryanair's CEO, Michael O'Leary (Ryanair is one of the larger airways companies in Europe). And when he got the question "Do you have a job for me?" this is the answer he gave: "Yes, if you are single, female, blonde and very attractive..." What's up with that???! Seems like this guy is prefering the limited stereotypes. This is a crazy comment - reading it between the lines, it's like he is saying the staff in the cabin crew can't be black women.

But I've travelled with Ryanair two times. And once I saw this beautiful black woman working in the cabin. I wonder what she thinks of the comments her boss is putting out.

More black women to Ryanair!!! :)
