@ blondecore - I'm living in the UK right now. The BNP did not "win big portion", they won only 2 seats in the EU elections and are still considered a marginal party in the UK at best. The two parties to contend with are still the Tories and Labour, with the Liberal Democrats seen as the most viable 3rd party. The BNP doesn't even come close. They're somewhere around the UKIP (the anti-EU UK Independence Party) in terms of votes (very low on the scale).

@ Blondcore - Beauty is very subjective. What one persons finds attractive, another person may find revolting. It's all about individual taste. That being said, I think Tania is pretty, but Iman is just hands down beautiful.
And I think you may need to look up the definition of racist. I'm not trying to be rude or snarky, but it's a term that's often thrown around outside of the context of what it actually means. The article you referred to wasn't racist towards white models. No one quoted in the article said they wouldn't hire a white model by virtue of the fact that she's white (although that was implied about black models), but pointed out that the look of modeling is becoming more homogeneous (and in my opinion more boring). In other words, it was simply pointing out the lack of diversity in the modeling industry and questioned why, especially since the fashion industry is about appealing to the individual, to the unique. That idea is at odds with a fashion show where all the models have the same "look."
The problem with using models who have a similar "look" is that it's very difficult to distinguish yourself as an individual model. For example, if most of the models in a show are white and blonde with an Eastern European "look" then it's harder for one individual model's beauty to stand out, whereas that one model of color is going to "pop" because her look is so different. That's part of the reason the model Tania doesn't really stand out for me. I've seen other models (and really just regular women on the street) who have a similar look. So while she's pretty, she's "not anything special", so to speak. There are so few models who have Iman's "look" however, that she stands out and by contrast comes off as more than just pretty, but beautiful. I hope that makes sense.

Does anyone know how I could get a late issue of the Black version of "Italian Vogue"? I really wish there was a way I could buy one. I didn't get a chance to last year.

Re: Italian Vogue Mag.Yep you are. I got mine Summer 2008 (around mid july-early August) at local Indigo/Chapters bookstore in Toronto. Boy was it the most expensive magazine I ever purchased at $40 but fairly worth the cost given its rarity.
As for getting your hands on it now in 2009 in popular wide-chain bookstores - your chances are slim to none. Best to look online or ebay. You might even look into private bookstores that enable you to order this specific Vogue magazine devoted to black women and their models.
Actually the Black issue of Vogue Italia was already reprinted once. In fact, this was the first time that Vogue Italia has ever been reprinted a magazine to satisfy demand. But unfortunately, all of the reprint issues also sold out immediately.

It might cost you over $100.00 to puchase that issue at auction, even though it is only a year old.
