One In A Million

Tomorrow is it the 25th of August. Eight years ago was a day I still can remember. The sad sad news hit me in the face. The lovely talented Aaliyah Dana Haughton died in a airplane crash in The Bahamas. That was a shocking day. And I wanna take the time to remember this very beautiful star - In Loving Memory of Aaliyah! She was truely One in a Million

While she was alive, everyone used to tell me that Aaliyah and I looked alike...

I still can't believe she's gone...it still doesn't feel real...

We love you, Aaliyah! We miss you, baby girl! R.I.P.

*sigh* I miss her so much. I dread that day every year. Eight years later and I still can't believe it. It hasn't hit me yet. I loved her so much, she was like my big sister. I emulated everything she did. I was also a tomboy like Aaliyah, my name was almost spelled like hers, so I felt connected to her.
I cried, when I heard the news.
It is so hard for me to listen to her music, and watch her DVD's.

We all love, and miss you so much Aaliyah. You are an Angel and my inspiration. R.I.P.

oh wow...once i saw this, i remember i was in junior secondary school in Nigeria one early morning downstairs barefeet reaching for a coke in the deep freezer when our restaurant radio blasted the news. I was so sad...i really liked her. That her VIDEO "more than a woman" was one of the best singing memories i have of her.
