Just wanted to share a link to Clutch Magazine - The Digital Magazine for the Young, Contemporary Woman of Color. And it's great - this blog is mentioned in the article "Are White Men More Appreciative of Natural Hair?" Look towards the end of the article! By the way - my answer to the question is: Yes! :)

Hey Andreas!
I'm a daily reader of Clutch mag and it actually led me to your site by way of another site!
I would love to tell you how wonderful I think your site is and how encouraging your words of upliftment are to me! I've already sent your site to all my natural friends here in Houston, TX (by way of the Virgin Islands!) You have a huge fan in this Caribbean American chick!
Keep doing what your doing and I will keep supporting!!
Andreas, thanks for the heads up on Clutch magazine. I had never heard of it before.
Cool article. I think White people in general seem to be into it. You'll find more Black people that will say (or think) 'you should "do" your hair', where as the majority of white people and white men seem to think it's "edgy" and cool. Personally I rock my twa because I love it, no one else has to, but I appreciate compliments.
Yes and that is one of my reasons for admiring white men. They love our naturalness. None of this colorism that BLACK men have. ;o)))
I agree w/ Moorena, its such a breathe of fresh air, that you can be you. That you're not sized up based on the tone of your skin/the length of your hair. =)
Yay! An article on natural hair! As the rocker of a wee 'fro, I'm glad you posted this article.

I mean why do so many black women trying to look white? Is that some sort of ultimate ideal, for some? To be/look white? For a gut like me, this is so hard to understand. I mean, the defintion of True Beauty is spelled B.L.A.C.K. ;) We need more dark-skinned role models in this world, and less of the Beyoncé/Lil Kim-look-a-whiteys.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
First off I want to say it's wonderful how you're embracing black women's natural beauty that's nice to see!!When I had decided to go natural my husband (who is white) was a little nervous because he's always known me to have straight hair or to wear extensions so when I did the big chop he loved my hair. So I'm so glad he embraces the natural me =)) I love being natural!! For so long I didn't like my natural self I finally like my natural self =)I've seen a lot of black women that are with white men that are going natural. That's just what I've been seeing a lot of lately.
