This blog is just absolutely amazing! I'm so glad I stumbled upon it on accident. Your thoughts are very interesting but realistic of which I certainly appreciate. I have a blog myself (http://mimispenn.blogspot.com/). It must be pretty profound to be from a different country and have such valiant perceptions of beauty. thank you for looking beyond color ;) -Mimi.
thank you for this blog! i think you do an amazing job. however, i have to bring something to your attention. i know you've covered it before, but please address this issue one more time because we as black women don't get the point. andreas, if you google 'naomi campbell bald spot' you'll actually see pictures of naomi campbell with a BALD SPOT. i can't believe this world-reknowned beautiful woman has continued to conform to eurocentric standards of beauty so much so that she'd sacrifice her beautiful own naturally beautiful hair that grew just to meet those standards. it's atrocious! i feel the pressure as a black woman. but i know she's felt it even more being in such a eurocentric industry. i can't help but feel sorry for her. i thank you for all your posts telling us about how beautiful you think our hair is in it's natural state. but i'd like to encourage you to please continue because many of us still don't get the point.
