Thickness is a good thing.

I'll start with this - Get me right - all shapes are beautiful in their way. This is a statement to look beyond what media is brainwashing us with.

I'm telling you like it is. Beyond sterotypes, prejudice and distorted ideal in media. Nothing new here when it comes to my blog, I guess. But I think it's about time to up-lift the curvy women too. I guess I'll get a lot of negative commentary now - but who really cares? Time to give some big-up to the curvy and confident black women out there. Thickness is a good thing!

We don't need the distorted Hollywood ideal anymore. Tired of if. Tired of skinny white supermodel ideal in my face all the time.

All shapes are beautiful. Thick or not. Skinny or not. Be proud. (LOL do I sound like a parent now?)

It's so nice to know there are men out there who find curvy women beautiful and desirable and not always put the skinny women on top of a totem pole.

Thanks for posting that. I don't know why they have these skinny models in magazines and runways who look like little boys with long hair. It's not feminine. Bones are for dogs, meat are for men:-)

I am going to use this one, however, my kind of meat is BEEF, since I am athletically built.

The oldest true beauty in the world ( up until that DANG Twiggy boyish girl of the 60's and since then lots of folks have been messed up.).

Here is a list of the thick types:

I cycle a lot, so I have muscular legs and arms. Is that thick?

Thickness is not really my thing. I think a healthy, fit, medium-sized look is the most beautiful on a black woman. This would be a good example: http://www.blackjackskanz.com/wp-content/gallery/video-vixens-3/vixens812-vanessa-veasley.jpg

However, I think it's wonderful that you're uplifting so many different KINDS of black women as well. Thank you.

I never understood how MEN could be attracted to women, who look like guys before puberty, with grapes for breast, and protruding ribs. I am curvy, but fit, So I don't know if I'm thick or not.

FSk50, I think you're considered toned...Good for you. Cycling sounds interesting.

WOW...she's pretty. I'm working on getting my stomach even flatter, and more toned like Vanessa Veasely, but big-up to all the curvy thick women out there.

There is an exercise you can do to get her glutes. But it is involves being *IN* the gym, using the cable machine with an ankle strap. Ladies, I tell you, it works!! You will lift and round out in a matter of a couple of months. But be consistent in doing in about 2-3x per week with cardio and a good diet.

A key to a tie the whole look is hamstring( back of thighs) work, calves and work your quads(front thigh).

Tired of skinny white model ideals? You tired of the skin black model ideals too? Why you have to talk negative about slim women, to praise curvy women. That illustration you got there is neither curvy, nor voluptuous. That's obese.

Voluptuous is healthy. Obese is evil. Anyone who encourages you to be happy with being obese, is creating a false sense of security for you. Would you say a friend who says it's cool to see you smoking, is a good friend? Being encouraged to change your lifestyle for the better is more uplifting, than someone giving you the thumbs up for putting yourself at risk to heart disease. Yea, the "wicked black man" just said that.

Here's what you need to do...first clone yourself, then disperse clones on every continent (except Antarctica), and proceed to create beautiful cocoa babies that will one day rule the world. We'll kick off the revolution...;)

Thinness is a good thing too. I am so tired of people bashing thin women with such eloquent statments like, "It's not feminine. Bones are for dogs, meat are for men:-)". Thin women are just as feminine as thick. Enough with the agendas.
